Iron Man Records has put together and maintains a scene report for Birmingham and the surrounding area documenting everything to do with the current music scene. Birmingham Music Network:
Mark of Iron Man Records put the Birmingham Music Network together in 2002 and is now working in cooperation with other music based companies in the West Midlands to promote and develop a strong music community in the West Midlands under the name of The Birmingham Music Network. Iron Man has been organising gigs for bands in Birmingham since 1997 under the guise of Badger Promotions. The label continues to work closely with other local promoters. Iron Man resource Website
The Iron Man Records/Badger Promotions website aims to provide a resource base for local bands and anyone else outside Birmingham involved with the independent and underground music scene. The site is trying to put together useful addresses, links, fanzine lists, venue contact details, distros and info on putting out your own records etc etc. If you can help any of the bands that the label is involved with, or if you would like your own details added to the site, get in touch, its all free of course. Iron Man records is not only working to promote new music it has some degree of ethics and a commited ideology. As Part of its day to day activities the record label has been active in the support and promotion of several campaigns. So Far these have included the Cannabis Campaign, Animal Rights, Friends of the Earth and Stop The War. Last Under The Sun and G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S:
The Label is run by Mark Badger who not only works to keep the label moving forward but also plays in a band called Last Under The Sun. Iron Man Records is an independent not-for-profit disorganisation, any surplus money is reinvested in new band projects.
